How to Cook a Whole Chicken in the Air Fryer

You probably never thought of cooking a whole chicken in an air fryer but you should! Crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside, this roast chicken recipe in the air fryer is sure to impress. Keep reading to learn how to cook a whole chicken in an air fryer.

Why use the air fryer instead of the oven?

  • With an air fryer, you do not need to use any oil. That’s because it heats up so hot that it is enough to crisp your food without oil. You would never be able to achieve that level of crispiness in an oven.
  • No added oil makes air fryers a better alternative to the oven. Dishes made in the air fryer are much healthier than oven-baked ones.
  • An air fryer takes less time to cook food than an oven. They cut the cooking time by approximately one-third.
  • Cleaning your air fryer is much easier than cleaning your oven!

The best air-fried meal I’ve had so far is roasted chicken. It comes out so tender, juicy, and moist on the inside and incredibly crispy and full of flavors on the outside. You’ll love how hands-off this chicken is; just flip it once, and you end up with a delicious meal. I used to be so intimidated by the idea of cooking a whole chicken, but thanks to air fryers, I am no longer scared!
