How to cook Milanesa steak without breading

Preparation time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes Total time: 20 minutes Serving: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 to p round beef steaks pounded to 1/8 inch thickness
  • 1 ½ cup whole milk
  • One small red onion diced
  • Two garlic cloves
  • ¼ tsp old bay seasoning
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil as required

Instructions

  • Add peeled red onion and garlic cloves into a blender jug and pour milk.
  • Blend the three ingredients until they are unified.
  • Pour this mixture into a shallow bowl and season with old bay, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  • Place the pounded beef steaks in this mixture to dip in completely.
  • Cover the bowl with cling wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about an hour to marinate.
  • To cook the steak, place a pan over medium heat and add cooking oil. You can add oil according to your liking. I like to cook the steak with minimum oil, so I have used about 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil.
  • Once the time is up, take the steak out of the marinade and place it in a hot pan with oil.
  • Cook the steak for about 5 minutes or until it gets a golden color.
  • Flip the steak and cook on the other side for five more minutes or until it turns golden as well.
  • Once done, remove it from the pan and serve with your favorite side. Enjoy!
