How to make fluffy biscuits with Bisquick

Preparation time: 10 minutes; Cooking time: 10 minutes; Total time: 20 minutes; Servings: 4 to 6

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cup Betty Crocker's Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup full-fat milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted cold butter
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  • Add Bisquick, baking powder, and sugar to a large mixing bowl. Mix well to incorporate the dry ingredients.
  • Cut cold butter into cubes and add them to the mixture.
  • Use your hands or a fork to smash the butter and mix it with the flour mixture until it has a crumbly texture.
  • Pour in full-fat milk and mix well. Ensure you don't overmix the ingredients, or the biscuits won't be fluffy.
  • Once a soft dough forms, take it out of the bowl onto a floured surface. Gently roll out the biscuit dough until it is ½ inch thick.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Use a cookie cutter or biscuit cutter to cut the biscuits and place them on the parchment-lined baking tray. Ensure the biscuits are placed at least an inch apart and have space to puff up.
  • Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 450 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until they rise and get a golden color. You can check the doneness of the biscuits by inserting a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, it means the biscuits are ready.
  • Once done, take the cookie sheet out of the oven and transfer the homemade biscuits to the cooling rack. Enjoy!
