How to Make Fried Oreos Without Pancake Mix

Preparation Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 4 minutes Total Time: 24 minutes Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tbsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tbsp. white sugar
  • ½ egg
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter
  • ½ cup dairy milk
  • 10 Oreo cookies
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with paper towels and place a wire rack on top of it, set aside.
  • Add salt, sugar, baking powder, and flour in a large bowl and whisk until everything combines well. Make a well in the center, add butter, vanilla extract, and egg, and mix gently.
  • Then pour in the milk and mix until everything combines properly; avoid overmixing.
  • Pour oil into a deep pot over medium-high heat. When the oil temperature reaches 350 degrees F, dip your Oreo in the prepared batter, shake off the excess batter, and place it in the hot oil.
  • Fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until both sides turn golden brown. Then remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on the wire rack until the oil drains.
  • Immediately sprinkle the fried Oreos with icing sugar, serve and enjoy!
