How to Make Creamed Corn from Canned Corn

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups corn kernels canned and drained
  • ½ small onion finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8- ounce cream cheese
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • A pinch teaspoon of salt
  • A pinch teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Add butter to a saucepan over medium heat. When butter melts, add onion and sauté until translucent and tender.
  • Add corn kernels and cook until thoroughly warmed; add milk, cream cheese, and heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer and continue until sauce thickens.
  • Sprinkle thyme, pepper, and salt, cook for another 2 minutes and remove from heat.
  • Blend the mixture using an immersion blender until you get the desired consistency.
  • Serve and enjoy!
