How to Make Crab Cakes With Canned Crab

Preparation time: 5 minutes; Cooking Time: 10 minutes; Total Time: 15 minutes; Servings: 4

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ canned crab meat
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced white, green, and light green parts
  • 4 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2/3 cup panko
  • Canola oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Add crab meat, eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, pepper, salt, and panko in a medium bowl, and mix well.
  • Pour ¼ cup of oil into a skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add a scoop of meat mixture into the oil and press down using the back of a spatula until patty shape.
  • Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  • When crab cake patties are ready, transfer them to a plate lined with absorbent paper.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice and serve with parsley garnishing.
