How to Make Frito Pie with Canned Chili

Preparation Time: 5 minutes; Cook Time: 30 minutes; Total Time: 35 minutes; Servings: 4

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans of canned chili
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Sliced Jalapeno
  • 1 bag Fritos corn chips
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F. Also, prepare a 9x9 baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Add the canned chili, onion, and Jalapeno in a saucepan over medium heat and cook until everything is hot. Remove from the stove and spread half of the mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Add an even layer of Fritos to the chili mixture layer, then sprinkle half of the cheese.
  • Repeat the process with another layer of chili mixture, Fritos, and cheese, respectively.
  • Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheese on the top melts and bubbles appear on the edges.
  • Remove from oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
