Seared Pork Chops

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pork chops about 1 to 1.5 inches thick
  • ¼ cup of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup of olive oil
  • ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 6 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 4 smashed garlic cloves
  • A pinch of freshly found black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together thyme sprigs, garlic cloves, olive oil, balsamic olive oil, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard in a large bowl.
  • Pour the marinade over the chops and place in your refrigerator for about 3 to 4 hours.
  • Remove them from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature.
  • Use pepper and salt to season the pork chops generously.
  • Preheat the cast-iron skillet to a medium-high temperature after pouring in some olive oil.
  • Place your pork chops in the cast-iron skillet and add one teaspoon of butter.
  • Cook the pork chops for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
  • Use the thermometer to check the temperature.
  • Remove the chops from the skillet if the temperature is 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cover the pork chops with foil and let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
