How to Bake Pork Chops with Cream of Mushroom Soup

Preparation time: 10 minutes; Cooking Time: 50 minutes; Total Time: 60 minutes; Servings:  4

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pork chops 1 ½ lbs. total weight
  • 1 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 canned cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup beef stock
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions
 

  • Add oil to a large skillet over high heat. Pat dry pork chops using a paper towel, then season all sides with pepper, garlic, and salt.
  • When the oil is hot, add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet and sear each side for 2 to 3 minutes or until brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F.
  • Once pork chops are brown, remove them from heat, pour mushroom soup on top, and tightly cover them with aluminum foil.
  • Place the chops in the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the chops are tender and thoroughly cooked.
  • Once chops are ready, remove from oven, allow to rest for some time, then remove foil and serve.
