How to Cook Collard Greens Without Meat

- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. collard greens large veins removed
- ½ cup white onions diced
- 2 tsp. garlic minced
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 1 ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. liquid smoke
Drizzle olive oil in a large pot over medium-low heat, add onions, garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
Then add collard greens and pour vegetable broth; bring the mixture to a simmer.
Add salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper and liquid smoke cover the large pot with a lid, and reduce heat to bring the mixture to a low simmer. Cook for 60 minutes.
When ready, remove from heat and serve immediately.
