Add bacon bits to a large, heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes or until brown and crispy.
Add diced onions and cook for three minutes or until soft. Then add garlic and cook for one minute until fragrance.
Add green beans, chicken broth, and butter to the pan, stirring everything together. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce heat to medium-low, and allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes while stirring occasionally.
After 20 minutes, add potatoes and give it a good stir. Cover the pan and cook for another 15 minutes or until green beans and potatoes are cooked.
Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, and enjoy!
