How to Cook Catfish Nuggets without Breading

Preparation time: 5 minutes; Cooking time: 10 minutes; Total time: 15 minutes; Servings: 4

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb catfish fillet boneless
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¾ tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the catfish fillet with cold water and place it in a strainer to get rid f excess water. Also, pat the fish dry using a kitchen towel.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the fish into equal pieces. You can cut them into 3 or 4-inch pieces depending on your liking.
  • In a large bowl, add lemon juice, paprika powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add catfish nuggets to the bowl and toss so that the spices coat the fish evenly.
  • Place a pan over medium heat and add oil. Once the oil heats up, add catfish nuggets. Cook the nuggets for about 4 to 5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Once done, remove the nuggets from the pan and place them on a serving plate.
  • Serve with your favorite dip or side. Enjoy!
