How to Make Homemade Biscuits Without Baking Powder

Preparation time: 15 minutes; Additional Time: 30 minutes; Cooking Time: 15 minutes; Total Time: 60 minutes
Servings: 40 biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cups butter cold and in small pieces
  • cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp. yogurt

Method
 

  1. Prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F. Also, prepare two baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. Add the flour, butter, yogurt and sugar in a large mixing bowl, and knead using your hands until everything combines well and shapes into a ball. Place the dough ball into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. After 30 minutes, remove the ball from the refrigerator, and roll it into a rectangle using a rolling pin. Cut into 40 cookies using a sharp knife and arrange them on the prepared baking sheets.
  4. Place the baking sheets in the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the same process with the other baking sheet.
  5. Once the biscuits are ready, let them cool completely, then either serve immediately or place them in an air-tight container for future use.
