How to Cook Tri Tip Steak on the Stove

- 2 lb tri-tip steak 2 x 1 lb steaks
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Coat the meat with salt and pepper.
Heat extra virgin olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
Place the tri-tip steak on the skillet and brown it for 5 minutes.
Flip it and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Slice the steak and serve.
