Tips to Remember

Let’s discuss tips to help you make the perfect cinnamon roll every time!

  • When adding filling to your cinnamon rolls, filling them sparingly is essential as it can cause them to become soggy or even burn in the air fryer. Spread the mixture onto each rolled-out piece of dough before rolling them up into cinnamon rolls.
  • Before you place your cinnamon rolls in the air fryer, it’s essential to spray the basket with a non-stick cooking spray or oil. This will help ensure that your cinnamon rolls do not stick to the basket and help them cook evenly.
  • The temperature should be set at 350°F, and the time should be set for 8 minutes. It’s also helpful to check on your cinnamon rolls after 5 minutes of cooking, as this will help you gauge how much longer they need to cook for optimal results.
  • Once your cinnamon rolls are finished cooking, let them cool for a few minutes before serving them. This will help ensure that they don’t burn your mouth! You can add some icing or glaze for extra flavor and sweetness.

How to Store Cinnamon Rolls

Here are some tips for storing cinnamon rolls so they stay as tasty as when you first made them.

  • If you plan on eating your cinnamon rolls within a few days of making or buying them, storing them in the refrigerator is best. Place the cinnamon rolls in an airtight container and place them in the refrigerator.
  • Freezing is a great way to extend the shelf life of your cinnamon rolls if you plan on eating only some of them within a few days. Place the cinnamon rolls in an airtight container or freezer bag and place them in the freezer. This will help lock in moisture and keep your cinnamon rolls fresh for up to 3 months.
  • If you’re reheating previously frozen cinnamon rolls, it is best to do so in the oven or air fryer. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 350°F and place the cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or an air fryer basket. Bake for 10-15 minutes until heated through.

  • ½ cup softened cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp. softened butter

  1. Pour milk into the bowl of a stand mixer, sprinkle yeast, and add egg yolk, egg, butter, and sugar; mix at medium speed until everything combines well.

  4. Once the dough becomes double in size, place it on a flour-dusted work surface and roll using a rolling pin until 14″ x 9″ rectangle; spread softened butter while leaving a ¼” border on all sides.
  5. Add cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl, mix well, and sprinkle the mixture on top of the dough, then rub gently with your hands.
  6. When the filling is done, roll the dough tightly, starting from the smaller side, and seal the dough properly. Then cut the roll into 1″ sections using a sharp knife.
  7. Place the cinnamon roll sections in a baking pan, cover them with a kitchen towel, and leave for 30 to 40 minutes.
  8. Prepare the air Fryer with cooking spray and preheat to 360 degrees F. Once cinnamon roll sections are ready, place them in the air fryer while maintaining a tiny space and cook for 8 minutes or until cooked through.
