  • Powdered sugar: Powdered sugar or confectioners sugar is easy to find and is available at all grocery stores. You can make it at home as well. Grind granulated white sugar into a fine powder, and that’s it. Powdered sugar will not just add sweetness but will also give the filling a body and texture so that it holds its shape and is not sticky.
  • Butter: Adding softened butter will make this filling buttery, glossy, and yummy.
  • Salt: A little bit of salt will balance out the sweetness of the peanut butter and sugar.

  • Step 1: Start by adding 1 cup creamy peanut butter, 1 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp softened butter to a large bowl. Mix the ingredients so that everything is well combined.   • Step 3: Once you have used up all the powdered sugar, the consistency of the filling will now be like playdough. When you scoop it out and shape it using your hands, it will be very easy to handle and won’t be sticky. If the filling seems too sticky, add some more powdered sugar.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add peanut butter, softened butter, and salt.
  2. Slowly add powdered sugar ¼ cup at a time and whisk the ingredients together until you have used up all the sugar. You will get a thick consistency mixture that will resemble play dough.
  3. In a large bowl, add chocolate chips and place them in the microwave. Start at 20-second intervals until the chocolate chips are melted. Whisk in between to ensure every single piece melts. You can also melt chocolate over a double boiler.
  4. Place paper cups in each cup of the muffin pan. Pour about a tablespoon of chocolate into the paper cup and spread it at the bottom and sides a bit.
  5. Using your hands, shape the peanut butter mixture into a small ball and place it in the middle of the paper cup.
  6. Cover the peanut butter ball with more chocolate.
  7. Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator for about 20 to 30 minutes to set.
  8. Once done, serve.
