How Long Do Pan Fried Pork Chops Fried with Egg and Flour Take to Cook?

How To Fry Pork Chops With Flour And Egg

A pork chop’s cooking time depends on its thickness. For thick pork chops, you’ll need to cook them a bit longer. 5-6 minutes for a 3/4-inch cut, 7-8 minutes for 1-inch chops, and 10-12 minutes for 1.5-inch chops are good guidelines to follow for best results.

Which Pork Chops Should I Use: Boneless Or Bone-In?

The differences between bone-in and boneless pork chops are minor. However, bone-in chops have more flavor, and bone-in pork chops cook slower than boneless, making them less ideal for a fried pork chops dish. They are also harder to cut than boneless pork chops. As a result, we recommend boneless chops when frying with flour and egg.

What Can I Serve with My Fried Pork Chops?

Broccoli or green beans are good choices for roasted veggies. Because both of these vegetables have a low water content, they cook quickly and taste great.

Apple and pear slices baked in the oven are also excellent side dishes. You can serve them with other fruit salads made with strawberries, blueberries, melon, or any other fruits you have on hand!

Mashed potato is always a good decision when pairing with pork chops.

And don’t forget the oldie but goodie: apple sauce!

Is It Possible To Store Leftovers?

You can store any remaining pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Keep them covered and at 50% power in the microwave to avoid drying out when reheating. Begin by heating each chop for 30 seconds on each side and continuing until heated thoroughly.

Why Are My Chops So Hard?

Pork chops are a lean cut that can quickly overcook, so keep in mind your timings are exact while cooking them. The chops continue to cook after removing them from the cooktop because they hold in their heat, causing their temperature to rise slightly.

If the pork chops in the pan are fully white after cooking, they have been overdone, which is what makes them hard.
